is a 5-week remote work, adventure,
and community integrated residency
in Whitehorse, Yukon

What's included?

Each cohort will welcome an intimate group of 5-10 adventure seekers to our Larger Than Life community.

Miles Canyon

An ancient landscape
just minutes from downtown

Miles Canyon

Almost nine million years ago, a rush of basaltic lava spread over a pre-glacial landscape a few kilometres from what is now downtown Whitehorse. A ribbon of fast-moving turquoise water runs between the cliffs that remain.

A community-driven, non-profit ski hill
just 15 minutes from downtown Whitehorse.

  • 18+ years old
  • Authorized to work in Canada – we do NOT sponsor work visas
  • Are actively FT employed/self-employed for a remote tech role outside of Yukon.
  • Have lived outside of Whitehorse for one full year before applying.

FAQs

Temperature late August – early September can reach a high of 25°C and a low of 0°C.

Your necessary work equipment, clothes, and if preferred, your hiking gear.

Outdoor necessities can be found at local stores. Camping/paddling/biking equipment will be provided for planned excursions and can also be rented for personal use from most local outfitters.

Your shared accommodation will come fully equipped with cooking and dining essentials.

No. Participants are to make their own travel arrangement and are free to fly in or take the adventurous drive here.

Yukon is on Mountain Time(-7 UTC) and does not observe daylight savings our clock remains unchanged during the year.

Interview

If you are shortlisted, we’ll invite you for a 30-minute online interview.

This will be an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for us to answer any detailed questions you might have about the program, our community, or our beautiful city.

Confirmation

We will let you know by no later than June 30th if you have been selected for this cohort. You’ll then be required to complete a background and employment check to proceed.

Program Starts!

Welcome to Whitehorse! You may arrive earlier if you wish. The program will officially kick off the afternoon of August 17th.

The last official day of program activities is September 11th. Your accommodation up to and including the night of September 12th. You’re welcome to make your  own arrangements to continue staying after or travel back home.
